TERMS OF ENGAGEMENT

Prices/ Securing your booking/ Booking Deposits.

1. Luke Jenkins at Role Film Showreels has Four Showreel Packages- One Scene Package which is £280
Two Scene Package which is £480
Three Scene Package which is £580

The Double Feature which is £300

If you are looking to get existing footage (not shot by us) edited into a reel then our starting rate is £150.00. This is subject to the amount of footage you have and the time it will take to upload and edit.

  1. You can only proceed with your Showreel Shoot Date/ Engagement with us if- 

    • a)  you have signed and returned this contract to Luke Jenkins at Role Film Showreels. 

    • b)  you have paid a booking deposit (whichever deposit amount applies to the package
      you have chosen) 

  2. The booking deposit amount varies from each Showreel package.
    For the ONE SCENE PACKAGE the booking deposit is £50.00, for the TWO SCENE PACKAGE the booking deposit is £75.00, for the THREE SCENE PACKAGE the booking deposit is £100.00 and the DOUBLE FEATURE PACKAGE booking deposit is £50.00. 

  3. Your booking deposit is deducted from your final invoice. 

  4. The deposit paid is only valid for one date

  5. The deposit is non-refundable. 

  6. If you want to change your filming date you will have to pay another booking deposit. 

  7. You must ensure you leave yourself enough time between booking and your shoot date 

so you can sufficiently prepare for your scene. If you want us to find you Actors, Locations or Write scenes for you then please ensure we have at least TWO WEEKS prior shooting date to source and create whatever you need.

Scripts/ Material:

  1. Package prices apply to scripts that are a maximum of 1.5 pages
    long and set in one location* in one space as standard.*Location (E.G in a flat) *Space:
    A setting within a location (E.G the front room in a flat)
    This applies to scenes we may write for you (if you use our writing service) or scripts you
    bring along. 

  2. If you want your scene to be set in more than one space within a location
    (E.G First bit of the scene needs to be in the kitchen and then in the front room),
    this is fine, however, extra charges apply to extra spaces within a location. Extra spaces are £40 each. This applies to both our writing service and scripts you may bring along. 

Writing Service:

11. If you use our writing service it is-

a) The price is £50.00 per two page script. Payment for script(s) are due when Luke Jenkins at Role Film Showreels has the document(s) ready to send to you. Once you have paid the writing service fee Luke Jenkins at Role Film Showreels will send you your script(s)

b) you may ask us to make *minor tweaks to your script when you have received it/ them. * Examples of a minor tweak include changing a line of dialogue to convey the meaning in a different way. Minor tweaks do not include significant changes to the plot, subplot, content, characters, intentions or actions, or anything that contradicts requests from the original questionnaire.

c) If you do want significant changes made to your script(s) then an additional writing service fee (£50) will incur. The reason for this is that fundamental changes (EG. Changing a scene from two characters on a romantic date to two characters now at a business meeting) often involves rewriting large parts of the script.

d) You are entitled to change any elements of the script yourself – it is your script after all. If you do so, please keep us up to date and send your script with any changes so we can prepare for the shooting date.
e) It is up to the experience and judgement of Luke Jenkins at Role Film Showreels to decipher what qualifies as a minor tweak or a significant change.

Location for Showreel Shoot:

  1. You are more than welcome to suggest/ provide a location for your Showreel Shoot. Must be in London or within M25. If you have a location then we can provide ours which is based in Kent (near Rochester

  2. If you wish to use a location that involves a hiring fee(s) then Luke Jenkins at Role Film
    Showreels are not responsible for the costs. You will have to pay for any location hiring you may want. 1

Supporting Actors:

  1. If you want Luke Jenkins at Role Film Showreels to provide you with a scene partner (Actor) for you to do your showreel shoot with then I have a list of professional actors that I can source. 

  2. If you want Luke Jenkins at Role Film Showreels to provide you with a scene partner (Actor) then it is £30 per actor per scene which is not paid to Luke Jenkins at Role Film Showreels. You pay this money directly to the supporting actor on the Showreel Shoot date for their time and work. 

  3. If you have actors in mind then you are more than welcome to bring them along instead, keeping the costs down for you. 

Showreel Shoot:

  1. The remaining outstanding balance of your invoice must be paid in full on the Showreel Shoot Day via bank transfer or cash.

  2. On the day, we meet on location. Luke Jenkins and whoever is recording the sound on that day will set up the equipment, then Luke Jenkins and the actors rehearse the scene and then Luke Jenkins and the actors discuss the scene, block it and then we shoot it.

  3. Times for each package:

a) OneSeneShowreelShoot(one location in ones pace)is usual 3hrs long
b) TwoSceneShowreelShoot(one location in one space per scene)is usually 6hrs
c) Three Scene Showreel Shoot (one location in one space per scene) is usually 8hrs long d) The Double Feature Shoot (one location in one space per scene) is usually 6hrs

  1. Please allow an extra hour available after scheduled shooting time just in case we run over time. 

  2. Luke Jenkins at Role Film Showreels does not tolerate abusive or disruptive behaviour towards himself or anyone working during this entire engagement. 

  3. On the day something may not work (a line of dialogue, a stage direction...ect) and it is up to the experience and judgement of Luke Jenkins at Role Film Showreels to make any changes he thinks best. He will discuss this with you first and confirm you are happy with any changes we find in rehearsal. 

Post:

  1. The turnaround from Showreel Shot Date to receiving your PREVIEW is 1-2 weeks. 

  2. We will send you a PREVIEW of the scene for you to view. 

  3. You can suggest one set of *minor tweaks (*minor tweaks- means exchanging a take
    with another take. Not adding, removing or rearranging shots) This does not include direction suggestions, editing suggestions or any other additional notes. (Example of minor tweak - “Can you find a better take of me delivering that line”) 

  4. Significant Changes to the plot, subplot, content, characters, intentions, look, style, actions, colour grading, sound, sound effects or anything that contradicts requests from the original questionnaire or decisions made that contradicts what Luke Jenkins at Role Film Showreels and you made on the Showreel Shoot Date are not possible. 

  5. It is up to the experience and judgement of Luke Jenkins at Role Film Showreels to decipher what qualifies as a minor tweak or a significant change. 

  6. It is up to the experience and judgement of Luke Jenkins at Role Film Showreels to decipher how the scene is edited. 

  7. All packages include ONE version of the scene when it’s completed for clients after any tweaks required (one file of one cut of scene(s) If you wanted two or more versions of your scene(s) then an extra cost will incur. 

  8. When you have received your Showreel Scene(s) via WeTransfer Luke Jenkins at Role Film Showreels will only keep the raw footage from the shoot date, audio files from the shoot date, the project on the editing software for three working days after you have downloaded and received your scene(s) After three days they will be deleted. 

  9. Luke Jenkins at Role Film Showreels does not give anyone the raw footage or audio tracks captured on the Showreel Shoot Date. The raw footage and audio tracks belong to Luke Jenkins at Role Film Showreels.
